The Junk Drawer Project continues! I now have 15 drawers done, and there are another 12 or so that I can do. I love how people are drawn in to them when they see them, looking at all the pieces like they’re looking through an I Spy book, or Where’s Waldo?. I realized, in the process of creating these drawers and the new art I’ve been working on, that most of my work invites people to come in close to explore the little world within each piece. It’s very intimate. And I love the smiles and exclamations of delight when they discover what they are looking at. Each drawer has a theme, and most people can relate to at least one of the drawers in a personal way. At the recent Group Art Show I participated in, I heard one lady exclaim “I’ll never look at junk the same way again!”. I love that. Have a look! Let me know what you think.
